In Loving Memory of Beverly E. Sole
April 1, 1936 – July 19, 2025 Beverly E. Sole, daughter of Edward and Lenora (Bouska) Stichka, was born on April 1, 1936, in Clay Center, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, Nebraska, at the age of 89 years, 3 months, and 18 days. Beverly grew up in several communities, attending grade school in Lawrence, Red Cloud, Guide Rock, and Nelson, and later graduated from Nelson High School. She furthered her education at NCK Technical College in Beloit, Kansas, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and then Nelson Community Church of Church in Nelson. On June 30, 1954, Beverly was united in marriage to Clarence Eugene Sole at the Presbyterian Church in Nelson. This union was blessed with seven children. Together, Beverly and Clarence raised their family on a farm near Nelson, later moving into town in 2009. Beverly was a devoted mother and community member. She served as both a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader and was an active member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She was known for her talents in quilting, crocheting, and sewing. A skilled cook, she found great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. She especially treasured time with her growing family and delighted in meeting her newest great-grandson, Braxton Gray. Beverly also had a deep love for music, particularly polka, gospel, and country. Her career included working in local cafés and serving as a dedicated LPN at the Nelson Good Samaritan Center and Brodstone Memorial Hospital for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Clarence; her daughter, Diane Rose Sole; her brother, William Stichka; and brothers-in-law Don Spratt and Don Iliff Left to cherish her memory are her children: Barbara (Dennis) Robb of Nelson, Nebraska, Roberta (Walter "Bud") Rowley of Syracuse, Nebraska, Doloris (Gary) Warren of Nelson, Nebraska, Carroll (Patty) Sole of Nelson, Nebraska, Richard (Christy) Sole of Trenton, Missouri and Dwight Sole of
Superior, Nebraska. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Frances Spratt of Mims, Florida, and Helen Iliff; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. Beverly's legacy of love, family, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Private Family Services will be held. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th from 4-8 with the family present from 5-7 at Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior. Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
