Beverly Spoor

Beverly Ann (Akins) Spoor passed away on September 18, 2025 in Centralia WA. Born to George and Eliza Akins in Wheatland, CA, on May 16, 1935, Beverly was the last of five children and is preceded in death by her siblings, sister, Ruth and brothers Gordon, Charles and GR (George Rolla).
Beverly met the love of her life, Mancel Spoor, in high school. They married on October 23, 1954 in Reno, Nevada. Their early life was spent moving to different states but settled in Citrus Heights, CA and retiring in Kelseyville, CA.They had three children, daughters, Sandra & Gay Lynn, and son Eric. Mancel passed away in February 2013 and Sandra passed away in 2023.
Beverly worked tirelessly at the Grand Oaks Elementary School Library, first as a volunteer and then as an employee, until budget cuts elimitated her position. Later in life, she worked at Hancock Fabrics. Beverly took up quilting and created many treasured baby quilts. She also enjoyed embroidery, sewing and jigsaw puzzles. She was a collector of many different items but plates and cats were her passion.
Beverly was the beloved mother and is survived by Gay Lynn Moneymaker and Eric Spoor (Dani), and a cherished grandmother to Shelby Staley (Louis), Cody Wardelman, Melissa Arteaga (Omar), Emily Moneymaker (Adam), Hailey Klein-Moneymaker (Raphael), Cera Giles, Henry Spoor, Charles Spoor, Emory Spoor & Elliott Spoor. Great Grandmother to Kayla Siedel, Bryce Siedel, Bradley Staley and Ellie Arteaga.
