Beverly Gail Vogler, 87, of Wellington passed away June 12, 2025, at Avon Oaks in Avon. Born on March 9, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Roselyn (nee King) Mertz. Born in Ohiopyle, PA, Beverly moved to Ohio when she was 17 and lived most of her life in Wellington.
Beverly was a STNA (State Tested Nurse Aide) and first worked at Willowood Nursing Home, in Brunswick, and then at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington for many years. After her retirement she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and pursued a life of flower gardens, crocheting, cooking and enjoying her grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her children, Bill (Nancy) Harshman, of Akron, Pam (Archie) Hazzard, of Elk River, MN, Douglas (Terry) Harshman, of Sullivan, Jon (Rose) Harshman, of Valley City, Beth (Mike) Wetherbee, of Wellington, and Eric Vogler, of Wellington; son-in-law, Charles Clark, of Ashland; 19 beloved grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Roselyn Mertz; daughter, Judy Harshman Clark; brother, Charles W. Mertz; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Mertz; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Pendolino Harshman.
A private family graveside will take place at Huntington Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 5, at the American Legion Post 8, 518 South Main Street, Wellington, from 4-8 p.m. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home has been given the charge of making arrangements.
