Obituary of Beverly Helen Westling
Beverly passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the age of 78 after battling cancer. She lived in Chaska, MN for over six years before passing.
Beverly was born on May 5, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN to Helen Marr (Baker) Weinke and Herbert Marshall Weinke.
Beverly graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis with a bachelor's degree. She married her college sweetheart Jerry Lee Westling shortly afterward in 1969. They had two daughters, Heather Rae (Westling) Taylor and Nicole Lea Westling. Beverly worked as a social worker for over 40 years. She retired from Dakota County 13 years ago.
Beverly enjoyed volunteering for several organizations while living in Chaska. The places included the Chaska Historical Society, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, and The RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) Retail Shoppe in Chaska. She also was a regular at the Chaska Senior Center.
Beverly had a multitude of special interests in her lifetime. She enjoyed many crafts, including quilting, sewing, and knitting. She also loved reading books. She especially enjoyed historical novels and nonfiction.
She is survived by her daughters Heather and Nicole and son-in-law Arthur R. Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerry.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota.
