Beverly Ann Tompkins Williams, aged 87 left us on February 17, 2025, likely because Dad was tired of playing golf by himself. Born on October 26, 1937, she spent her years spreading laughter wisdom, and slightly inappropriate jokes at family gatherings. She was a 1955 graduate of Capital Hill High School and a proud Knobberette! She was a vibrant member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church from 1962. She participated in numerous activities, including Thy Group, a gospel trio, church choir, and Meals-on-Wheels.
She adored her family, tolerated most of them, and left us all with stories too wild to be true (but they were). Preceded in death by Richard (Dick) Williams, who probably met her with their golf clubs in hand. Survived by: Daughters. Barrie Divelbiss and husband Duane, Nikki Coshow and her husband Steve. Granddaughters: Brandie Ibendahl and her husband Jason, Brittney Eck and her dogs Lola and Harper, Paiton Coshow. Grandsons Courtney Coshow and wife Courtney (not a typo), Duane Divelbiss, Jr. Great Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Marshal, Reggae, Vega, Ryker, Lyla, Cassie, Joe, Twyla, Braeden, Jace, Mia, Ayva. All of whom inherited her sharp wit and inability to sit still.
A celebration of her life (and legendary one-liners) will be held at 2:00 pm on 2-22-2025 at Southern Hills United Methodist Church, 8200 S. Pennsylvania, OKC, with a viewing at Resthaven at SW 104th and S. Walker from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2025. In lieu of flowers, raise a glass, tell a joke, and do something delightfully mischievous in her honor.
