Bich Nga Groves, 74, of Hurst, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. Born in Hue, Vietnam, on May 7, 1951, to Nguyen Ngoc Cam and Le Thi Nhat, Bich Nga lived a vibrant and giving life, full of creativity, faith, and love for her family and community.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Bich Nga will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. She was a proud member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. She was actively involved in both her parish and the Hurst Senior Center, where she found great joy and connection.
Bich Nga was an accomplished painter, winning numerous local awards for her artwork. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she shared her love of cooking through community classes. She also found peace in gardening, joy in dancing, and purpose in crafting hand woven hats for children undergoing cancer treatment—a testament to her kind and compassionate heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Groves, and her cherished granddaughter, Mia Bachman.
She is survived by her children, Sarah Bachman and husband Jeff, and Tom Nisley and wife Micah; and her grandchildren: Jourdan Bachman, Knox Nisley, and Marley Nisley. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she shared so freely.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. A Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cook Children’s Hospital, who so wonderfully cared for Bich Nga’s granddaughter Mia.
