Bill Baker, age 70, of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 16, 2025 at the Laurels of Blanchester.
He was born November 24, 1955 in Wilmington, son of the late Robert Freeman Baker & Anna Maude (Sweat) Baker, of Clarksville.
A 1974 graduate of Clinton-Massie High School, Bill was a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and had retired as an electrician at the Candlelite Factory in Leesburg, Ohio.
In addition to his mother, other surviving family members are his sons- William Scott (Ella) Baker of Kettering, OH, & Nicholas Daniel (Dani Caro) Baker of Wilmington; 3 grandchildren- AJ, Chelsey, & Addie; his siblings- Barbara Baker of Clarksville, OH, Steven (Brenda) Baker of Clarksville, OH, Susan Baker of Clarksville, OH, Mary Helton of Clarksville, OH, &, Theresa (Jack) Peterson of Murfreesboro, TN; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother- Bruce Wayne Baker & infant sister- Beverly Baker.
Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m., Saturday, December 20 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry St., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Saturday in the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street, with Fr. Thomas M. Mannebach officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington, Ohio, where the Blanchester American Legion Post #179 will accord military honors.
Friends will be received from 4-6 PM, Friday, December 19 at the funeral home.
