A graveside service for Bill Dennis, 93, of Cleburne will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026, in the Rio Vista Cemetery, in Rio Vista Texas, 76093. Jimmy Grubbs, Curtis Grubbs, Darrell Grubbs, Eric Ecklund, David Robinson and Stephen Fiscus will serve as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the funeral home.
Bill Dennis was born on September 30, 1932, in Venus, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in Cleburne Texas. A dedicated worker throughout his life, Bill's spanned various roles; was employed by the Santa Railroad and Johns Manville, before embarking on successful self-employed journey.
He was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his craft. His passion extended beyond his profession; he had a profound love for Westerns and was an avid fan, particularly cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs. His interest in war history documentaries reflected his curiosity about the past and a respect for those who served.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Faye Campbell Dennis, his parents, Alvin B. Dennis and Bertha Lou Miller Dennis; his brothers, Frankie Ray Dennis, Ronnie Ray Dennis, and Alvin Dennis; his sisters, Maryann Housewright and Margie Grubbs.
He is survived by his son, David Dennis, daughter, Darla Dennis, sister, Kathy Fisher and husband Ted, and brother, Gene Dennis and wife Mary.
Bill Dennis leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
