William (Bill) Roger Herrick, 68 years old from East Moriches, passed away on the morning of Wednesday June 4th at Peconic Bay Medical center. He was born in Trumansburg, NY on June 23rd 1956 to Irene and Lawrence Herrick as the middle of 5 children. He graduated Potsdam University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in psychology/sociology in the class of 1979 and received a Master’s of Health Administration from The New School of Social Research in 1983. Bill worked under many titles for IGHL(Independent Group Home Living) for 35+ years, providing healthcare and quality assurance for people with special needs and intellectual disabilities. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Michael and Jason, stepson Patrick, stepdaughter Anna, sisters Tricia and Sue, brothers Steve and Jimmy, and grandchildren Quinn, Guy, Lucy, Elijah, and Baby Herrick on the way. He loved the NY Giants, playing golf, a good glass of scotch, and his family with all his heart. He was a lifelong contributor to the community, an amazing father and husband, and the one and only Billpa.
