A quiet afternoon (ya’ll quieten down in there!) spent watching John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. Being surrounded by the laughter and mischief of his loving family as he breaks off a hunk of his King B chew.
It was the simple things that brought Bill joy. He counted his blessings and was content in the things of his life. He loved with an unfailing and unconditional love. He was affectionately known as dad, Pa Bill, or Pa Paw.
Billy Clinton Jones, Sr., born April 18, 1931 to DeWitt Clinton and Daisy Wyatt Jones passed on November 4, 2025 at his home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son Dave Leonard (Little Davey) Jones, sons-in-law Mark Smith and Robert Smith; sister Martha Hall; brothers John, Bob, Ben, Jim, and Henry.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Nancy Davidson Jones; sons Billy, Jr (Gail), Terry (Deborah), Ricky (Camellia), Roger (Melinda), Mark; stepson Frankie Davidson; daughters Tressie (Johnny) Caddell, Joyce Smith, Susan (Stanley) Clark, Betty Smith, Teresa Hargis; sister Betty Smith of Decatur, TN.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren, and numerous great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at Schubert Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Joey Aytes and Bro. Billy Jones officiating with the interment to follow in the Annadale Cemetery in Lancing.
