Bill Spencer Obituary
He was born April 23, 1955, in Wheeling, WV to Carl "Sonny" Spencer and Violet Irene Friend Blake.
Bill retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked in the tin mill, and was a member of the Wellsburg Moose Lodge and a lifelong camper at Tappan Lake campgrounds.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Spencer.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 48 years Cathy Hood Spencer his son William "Bill" Spencer (Amy) of Weirton, WV, his daughter Melissa Lancaster (Steven) of Wellsburg, WV, a brother Carl Spencer (Judy) of Wellsburg, WV, two sisters Kathy Speece (Thurman) of Wheeling, WV, Shirley Spencer (Aaron Jones) of Wellsburg, WV, step brother Brian Spencer Wheeling, WV, and step sister Michelle Burns (Jim) of Wellsburg, WV, four grandchildren Jaxon Spencer, Kyle, Brandon, and Jacob Lancaster, and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV.
Funeral service Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Christinia Parnell officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
