Billey Loyce Roberts

Billey Loyce (Baldwin) Roberts, age 89, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed on to her heavenly home, Sunday August 3, 2025.
Billey was born in Alhambra, California, on December 16, 1935, the daughter of Horace Newton Baldwin and Mary Lou Ellen (Johnson) Baldwin. The family moved to Farmers Branch in 1946. Billey graduated from Carrollton High School (Texas) in 1954 and went on to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and worked there for 38 years and 7 months as a Drafting Clerk. She retired to become a caregiver for her father, Horace Newton Baldwin and later her mother-in-law, Margie Cagle Roberts and husband, A. J. Roberts. She attended and has been a member of First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch since 1946.
Billey loved to read, play 42 and do word search puzzles but she will be remembered the most for the love and dedication she had for her family, friends and church. She never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went.
She is survived by her beloved sons and wives, Gregory Allen Grindstaff, his wife Linda, of Carrollton, and Russell Duane Grindstaff, his wife Teresa, of Farmers Branch. She was a loving "Nana" to her grandchildren, Tasha Lyne and Joshua Glenn and great-grandchildren, Vanora, Skye Lyne and Darien. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Elizabeth (Baldwin) Fisher of Omaha, Arkansas and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Billey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Auther Jean Roberts; great-granddaughter, Hope Loyce Lawrence; and her sister Mary Anne (Baldwin) Giles.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch in her loving memory or charity of choice.
Services will be at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch on August 12, 2025 at 11:00 am. Family visitation will be at 10:30 prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at Restland Cemetery at 12:30.
