Mrs. Billie "Tootsie" Hopkins, age 76, of Portland, TN passed away on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at her residence.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29th from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 30th from 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory with interment to follow in Restlawn Memory Garden in Simpson County, KY.
Tootsie was born on January 12th, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late John Davis Vaughn and the late Eddie Louise (Swaw) Vaughn. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Skeeter Vaughn, Wes Vaughn, Mickey Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, Garland Vaughn, Bertha Gosnell, Bobbie Gosnell and Johnnie Tucker; a granddaughter, Audrey Hopkins; and a great-grandson, Holton Gregory.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Hopkins; 3 children, Ray Hopkins (Cindy) of Portland, TN, Stacy Crowder (Timmy) of Portland, TN and Tracy Gregory (Wayne) of Portland, TN; 6 grandchildren, Latasha Hopkins, John Crowder, Dustin Hopkins, Cody Gregory, Amber Crowder and Samai Sodhi; 4 great-grandchildren, Dakota Hopkins, Kaiden Hopkins, Hartley Gregory and Garrett Hopkins; a sister, Evelyn Keen of Portland, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Tootsie was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Portland, TN. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, friends, camping, shopping, babysitting and playing card games (crooked mouse).
