Billie Jo Walker, age 93 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on October 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on February 5, 1932 in Provo, Arkansas to the late Joesph Aaron Cherry and Mildred Wise Cherry.
Billie was a member of the Harvest Time Assembly of God in Murfreesboro and spent numerous hours reading her Bible. She would often write scriptures on pieces of paper and send them home with her loved ones. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walker, a son, Carl Wayne Bennett, a daughter, Linda Brake, a grandson, Rodney Wilkerson, a sister, Lila Putney and a brother, Jimmy Cherry.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patricia Bennett; a son, Dale Bennett and daughter-in-law, Melinda; sister, Betty Cooley; four grandchildren, Joey Bennett, Tabitha Gates, Kevin Bennett and Nicole Bennett; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
A graveside service for Mrs. Walker will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Unity Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
