Billy Edward Alexander

Billy Edward Alexander, 52, of Galesburg, ND, passed away on March 11, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, due to complications from congestive heart failure.

Born on February 22, 1973, in Brownsville, Texas, Billy was the loving son of the late Shirley McLaines and the late Billy A. Alexander.

In June 2017, Billy and his family made the move to North Dakota, where they put down roots and made countless memories together.

Billy will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all who knew him. He was a kind and compassionate man, known for his infectious smile and his unwavering optimism. Billy had a heart of gold and a loving personality that drew people to him. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He was an outdoors enthusiast who loved BBQing, camping, and fishing.

Billy was a hard worker and dedicated employee. He spent many years working for Transwood in Louisiana, where he formed lasting friendships and created memories that would stay with him forever. Later, he worked as a mud truck driver and process technician at American Crystal Sugar in North Dakota.

On November 30, 2018, Billy married the love of his life, Tariqa Dawn Alexander, 40. They shared a beautiful life together, filled with love, laughter, and adventure. But most of all, Billy loved to live life to the fullest. He had a zest for adventure and a passion for making memories with those around him. His love for life was contagious, and he inspired countless people to live each day with purpose and joy.

Though his time with us was far too short,

His legacy of love will forever be caught.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Tariqa Dawn Alexander; his son, Damien Legend Alexander (age 3); his daughter, Stormie Rhane Alexander (age 10); and a vast network of friends who became like family to him.

According to his wishes, Billy will be cremated. A celebration of life is pending. Details will be announced at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Norsman Hall in Portland, ND.
