Billy Ray Bagwell, “B.R.”, of Clarksville, passed peacefully on January 22, 2026, at the age of 92 with family by his side. Born August 11, 1933, in Clarksville, Tennessee. He graduated from Clarksville High School.
B.R. enjoyed a long and varied career in Insurance Sales and was also a member of Masonic Lodge #89 for 65 years.
Survivors include his beloved children, Sidney Bagwell (Athena), Brook Bagwell (Sheril), and Mitchell Bagwell (Kelly). He was the grandfather of Jonathan Bagwell (Katie), Milea Bagwell (Aaron), Nicholas Bagwell (Kimberly), and Kayla Bagwell, and great-grandfather to Cole Bagwell, Lucas Bagwell, Nash Bagwell, Quinn Bagwell, and Sean Bagwell, and great-great grandfather to Wyatt Bagwell.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Bagwell, parents, Lawrence Bernard Bagwell and Rosa Beatrice Bracey Bagwell, and sister, Thelma Norris.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery. B.R.'s legacy will live on through all who knew him.
