Billy "Bill" Charles Thompson, Sr., age 73, passed away peacefully at home after a long extensive illness. He was a hardworking man, a devoted family member, and a friend to many. He was someone who spent his life building not just homes, but trust, relationships, and lasting memories.
Bill was a skilled carpenter and remodeler known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others. He worked for just about everybody and took great pride in doing quality work the right way. His craftmanship can be seen in the many homes and projects he completed through the community.
Even through illness, Bill showed quiet strength and perseverance. He will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the lasting impact he made through his work and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles B. Thompson; his mother, LouEmma Bill Walker Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kathern Helton Thompson; daughter, Annette (Richard) McNutt; son, Billy Thompson, Jr.; son, Daniel (Jessi) Thompson; daughter, Kristy (Robert) Young; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Maddie (Jaden), Landon (Danica), Mackenna, Beckett, Baylee, Novella, Isaac, Hank, and Waylon; great-grandson, Bowen; sister, Deborah Lynn Thompson; aunt, Betty Jean Glandon.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the service to follow with Rev. Bill White officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. www.mccammonammonsclick.com
