Billy C. Boone, 94, of Ward, peacefully took Jesus’ hand and made his journey home on February 13, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 5, 1931, in Rector, Arkansas, to the late Vernon Boone and Alberta (Boone) Plummer. He Married the love of his life, Elwanda (Bowman) Boone on December 24, 1949. They shared 73 years of marriage until her passing on December 14, 2022.
His greatest joy was being with family, and he enjoyed tinkering with wood crafting. We have many birdhouses, tractors, and miscellaneous items that he shared with us all. After Elwanda’s passing, he daily drove his ’97 Chevy Lumina to McDonalds for coffee with the ‘Ole Geezers.
Billy is survived by 5 daughters: Sandra (Archie) Owens of Beebe, Debbie (Jimmy) Moore of Cabot, Kathy (Larry) Andrews of Jacksonville, Donna (Mike) Harvey of Ward, and Karen (Brad) Glanert of El Paso. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Lee Owens, Timmy Owens, Tonya Johnson, Sherry Mash, Kevin Moore, Norman Andrews, Richard Andrews, Joey Andrews, Renee Soellner, Sarah Stuchlik, and Erik Glanert. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation to the Elite Hospice Care Team for all the support and comfort they extended to us during this journey. We couldn’t have done it without you. We want to especially thank Charlotte Weddle Sidney Gates, and Madeline Brackett for taking such great care of our dad.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Smith Westbrook Funeral Home. Services are on Thursday, February 19,2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Smith Westbrook with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery.
