Billy Bradley, Sr., age 81, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at his home.
Billy was born Tuesday, January 4, 1944 in Rutherford County, the late Ernest Bradley and Lollie Sisk Bradley. He was a logger for over sixty-five years having worked for South Mountain Pulp Wood, Inc. He was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Rev. Ernest Bradley and Ronald “Mickey” Bradley and a brother, Donald Bradley.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara Metcalf of Atlanta, Billy Bradley, Jr. of Avery County, NC, Betty Toney of Forest City, Judy Coffey of Rutherfordton, Freida Jones of Green Hill, Eva Horton of Raleigh and Ceedaja Ruggels of Wisconsin; siblings, Beatrice Splawn, Tom Bradley and Judy Cox (James) all of Rutherfordton; twenty-seven grandchildren which includes Billy Praytor, thirty-six great grandchildren; his pet dogs, Willie and Mrs. Freeda and pet cat, Nova.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 on Saturday, June 21st at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Chad Sisk and Reverend Bobby Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
