It is with great sadness, that the family announces the passing of David “Dave” Paul Bradley Sr. on Thursday May 15, 2025, at the age of 70.
Dave was born on June 14, 1954, at Barksdale Air Force Base, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He lived in Louisiana until 1978, when he moved to Pine Island, Florida. After 36 years he moved back, and called Welsh, Louisiana home.
A true hero, Dave, was a dedicated member of the Firefighting community for 36 years. He started as a volunteer for the Matlacha Pine Island Fire Department and retired as Fire Chief in 2014. Dave loved being a firefighter and took immense pride in his job.
Dave lived a life filled with love, warmth, and a service to others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
He was a dedicated family person, he loved family vacations, playing cards, playing guitar with his daughter and grandsons, working on cars with his son, and taking his wife on trips to see beautiful flowers or unfamiliar places to experience together. Family and friends will greatly miss him.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick Richard Bradley and Dolores Ann Lawrence, stepfather; F.G. Lawrence, brothers; Mike Bradley and Steve Bradley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Gail Bradley of 47 years, daughter; Amanda (Trent) Duplechin, son; David Paul Bradley Jr., grandsons; Mason, Creedence, and Lawson, brother; Kenny (Melissa) Lawrence, sisters; Ann Hebert and Angie (Lasson) Legros. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
A memorial gathering with be held on Saturday May 24, 2025, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, Louisiana from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
