The family of Daniel Lee Touchet, aged 75, announces his passing on January 30, 2026, Born on December 1, 1950, in Gueydan, LA, Daniel lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the joyful embrace of the great outdoors.
Daniel, a devoted husband to his wife Janelle for 55 years, cherished every moment spent together. They were often found mowing the grass side by side, enjoying the beauty of nature, and savoring the simple pleasures of life as partners and best friends.
As a dedicated tugboat deckhand, Daniel spent many years working in the marine industry, where he developed lasting friendships and earned the respect of his peers. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work.
Daniel leaves behind his beloved wife, Janelle Roy Touchet; his son, Norman (Sandi) Touchet; Grandchildren, Kallie Benoit, Amber Touchet, Summer Benoit, Ashlyn Touchet, Morgan Benoit, Alyssa Touchet; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of his life; and his four legged pal, Buddy.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Touchet; his mother, Eula Touchet; his daughter, Melissa Touchet and his sister, Katherine Boudreaux.
Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
Rest in peace, Daniel. Your love will forever be with us.
