Billy Gene Burleson

Billy Gene Burleson age 82, of Parsons, TN passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Jackson Madison County Hospital. He was born April 21, 1942 in Nettleton, MS. to the late Dewey Burleson and Bertha Fewell Burleson. He was also preceded by his wife, Joy Burleson, daughter Karen Brasher, son-in-law Micheal Brasher, great grandson Benjamin Watson, brothers, Buddy Burleson, Bobby Burleson, sisters, Dorothy Best, Runell Bryant, and Annette Seymour. He was an employee for the State of Tennessee as a Prison Correctional Officer for over 20 years.

Daughters: Vicky Carrington of Lexington, Tn
Son: Mickey Burleson of Holladay, TN
Sister: JoAnne Smith of MS
Six Grandchildren
Twelve Great Grandchildren
Five Great Great Grand Children
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Oakdale Funeral Home-Decatur County with Bro. Welvon Mayo officiating. Interment will follow at Yellow Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the Burleson family will be Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4PM until 8PM and resume on Friday at 10AM until service at 1PM.
