Billy Carter Obituary
Billy Ward Carter passed away on December 27, 2025, at Generations in Spencer, Tn.
Billy was born on May 30, 1943, in Sparta, Tn to the late Willie J. Carter and Velma Ward Carter.
Billy was a well-known and well-loved resident for 25 years at Generations in Spencer, and member of Athens Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents Billy is preceded in death by his baby brother, and Uncle Clay Ward.
Billy is survived by his brother Carlen Carter, Sister-in-love Linda Carter, Cousin Tracy Tollison, adopted sisters Tania Whittenburg, and Nelouise Geer, beloved friend Margaret “Rose” Frasier along with many special friends who became like family at Generations in Spencer, Tennessee. Arrangements:
Services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Thurman Funeral Home beginning at 10:00AM with service beginning at 11:00AM and burial at Saylors Cemetery following the service.
