Billy Cofield Obituary
Mr. Billy Ted Cofield, age 89, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 2 o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Dr. Michael Goforth and Bro. Wayne White officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. A visitation will be on Saturday July 27, 2024, from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Cofield was born in Alabama on May 29, 1935, to L.R. & Gladys Johnson Cofield. He was a used car dealer.
Mr. Cofield is survived by his Wife: Judy Bishop Cofield of Boaz, Son: Tony Cofield (Jackie) of Auburn, Daughter: Tami Bridges (David) of Guntersville, Grandchildren: Tucker Bridges (Stephanie), Chandler Cofield Meherg (Matt), Carley Bridges, Bailey Cofield, Tess Young (Trevor), and Wyley Smith, Great Grandchildren: Tuck Bridges, Anne Reynolds Bridges, and Mollie Meherg and Special Friend: Jerry Shirley. He was preceded in death by his Parents: L.R. & Gladys Cofield, Step-son: Shannon Smith, Brothers: Brent James, Charlie, G. W., & Gerald Cofield, Sisters: Mary Frances Cofield and Melba Denney.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tucker Bridges, Matt Meherg, Trevor Young, Taylor Sims, Tim Simmons, and A. J. Evans. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Terry Stephens Sunday School Class of Sardis Baptist Church.
