Billy Sanford Colquitt Sr.

This man of God was a prophet, the words he spoke to me came to pass in Gods time. He was a soul winner and I gleaned so much from him. He taught me “ if you can kiss the ground you can kiss the son.” I am a better man because of him.

Brother Billy and I went to Mexico together in a RV one year. As we were leaving we gassed up and checked the oil. Over night someone Siphoned put our fuel and drained our oil. Brother Colquitt didn’t Realize what had happened until we were up on a Mountain. The oil light came on and we ran out of fuel. The man of God prayed and with bandits waiting for a stranded vehicle waiting every few miles. We rolled up and down the hills for over 40 miles and came to a stop at a gas station. What an amazing man of God. He will never be forgotten.

I still miss you so Uncle Billy, but I no you are rejoicing with the rest of our family and our Saviour. I will get a "Uncle Billy hug and kiss" again one day. Love you

Dear Colquitt Family
My life and ministry were greatly impacted by this man of God. He taught me so much, from the Lord's supper to humility. He stirred my compassion for the poor and needy. I laughed and cried with him on the mission field. I loved this man of God greatly. I still kiss the ground so I can kiss the sky.

With our heartfelt sympathy and prayers for all the family. May God give you comfort in knowing that he lived his life to the glory of God and he is now resting in His peace. We love you and pray for strength in this time of sorrow.

Brother Billy was preaching the message at Pine Mountain Valley Church of God July 19, 1987 Sunday evening when the Lord saved me! What A DAY! I know he has many rewards in Heaven! May God's comfort be with family now and always!

Heaven is sweeter having gained such a precious soul. My heart goes out to those left to face this separation from Brother Colquitt. However, this separation is temporary! Blessings to my precious friend, Susan Andrews, and her family during this time. The Angels are rejoicing. Your daddy is whole once again. I love you dear friend. Praying for continued perfect peace to flood your souls!

A true man of God. I know he's celebrating Christmas now. The Colquitt family is in my prayers and thoughts.

Bro. Billy was a true man of God who always shared Jesus with anyone who would listen. He is without a doubt spending Christmas in the presence of the King of Kings & Lord of Lords. Our hearts go out to the family during this difficult time. We love y'all & our praying for the Lord to comfort you all & wrap his loving arms around you!

I will never forget Bro. Billy. I attended P.M.V. Church of God for years. He prayed for healing for my dad and my dad was healed by God through Bro. Billy.
