Billy Connor Obituary
Billy was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, sharing his passion for the team with friends and family alike. His enthusiasm for history was contagious, and he took great joy in discussing and reading about the past. An avid lover of westerns, he found comfort in watching them and often played the guitar to unwind. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes, and he relished moments spent with loved ones, especially his children and grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra W. Connor, and his parents Randolph and Silla Mae Connor. He also joins his brothers Glenn Marshall Connor and Rudolph Connor in eternal rest.
He leaves behind two children, Marsha Granderson (Cleveland) of Hopewell, VA, and Marcus Connor (Clintona) of Charlotte, NC. Billy's legacy lives on through his seven grandchildren: Kevin Granderson (Erika), Cameron Granderson (Sunny), Marcus Jowan Connor (Chance), Courtney Granderson, Brianna Connor, Kolbe Granderson, and John Jaylen Connor. Also left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Effie Broadnax and Teretha Connor of Danville, VA. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his immediate family, Billy leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Among them, James Jones was a devoted presence who visited Billy, regardless of his location. He had forged strong bonds of friendship throughout his life, and among those who held a special place in his heart are dedicated friends like Allen Keene, Hugh Cunningham, and the late William "Buster" Hall.
A memorial service to celebrate Billy's life will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bland Funeral Services Inc. During this time, family and friends will come together to honor and remember the life of Billy L. Connor.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who knew and loved him.

Big Bill was definitely a jokester. He leaves behind memories that I will cherish forever. I can say he loved unconditional a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend in one. Love you Big Bill.

Big Bill was a person who loved to tell a good joke. He would have you cracking up on his jokes. He was a great father, grandpa, uncle son, brother. He was an awesome man. I am really going to miss you old man.
