Billy Roy Cooper passed away peacefully in his home on September 24, 2024 in McCaulley, Texas. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Hamlin, Texas on Saturday September 28, 2024 at 1:00pm. The visitation will be held at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin, Texas on Friday September 27, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm.
Billy Roy Cooper was born on March 29, 1976. Graduated from Hamlin High School in 1995. Enjoyed team roping and ranch work. You could count on him to help you change a flat, make you laugh, or tell you the hard truth. He was a care taker, continuing to saddle Buckys horse until he was 20. Billy Roy had a huge heart and loved spending time with family and friends.
Billy Roy was a proud and devoted dad to Wesley and Abby. When he married the love of his life, Katrina on December 14, 2013, (in a helicopter flying over the Las Vegas strip), he gained another daughter, Shelbi and two sons Rowdy and Joey. He was complete. Then came the grandchildren and the real fun began with Pa and Gigi. Billy Roy is survived by his wife, Katrina, dad and mother Joe and Retha Cooper, brothers Terry (Jennifer) Cooper and Bucky (Cheyenna) Cooper, and sons Wesley (Bailey) Cooper, Rowdy (Aleah) Fenwick and Joey Cook. Daughters Abby (Gavin) Williams and Shelbi (Justin) Martin. Grandchildren Kohen and Blakely Cooper, Miles, Quinn, and Grant Martin, Beckett and Parker Fenwick. Nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Bill dearly. Karyn (Slaton) Ellie Hansen, Keith Cooper (Katie Kelly) Kash, Kaci, Kirk and Koy, Shaylee Cooper, Kylan Cooper (Felipe Fernandez), Peyton Cooper, Kesler McClintock, Katilyn McClintock and Jolana (Taylor) and Dallie Jo Calhoun. His mother in law and father in law Charles and Katy Cook, sister in law Jody and Cary McClintock, aunts and uncle Reba Galloway, Billy Don (Linda) Cooper, and many cousins and extended family. Billy Roy also leaves behind many friends that were like family.
