Billy Joe "Country" Cronin

Billy Joe "Country" Cronin, age 70, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran. Billy worked as a Truck Driver for many years until eventually retiring from Parish Concrete. A true outdoorsman at heart, Billy loved nothing more than being outside, whether he was casting a line on a quiet morning, piddling around in the yard, or keeping his property in pristine shape with his steady rhythm of yard work. He found comfort in nature and took pride in the work of his own two hands. Billy had a competitive streak that anyone who knew him could attest to. Whether he was shooting pool with friends or cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers, he brought passion, energy, and just the right amount of spirited rivalry to every moment. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for the outdoors, and the countless small but meaningful moments he shared with family and friends.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Louise Cronin; brothers, Johnny Cronin, Ed Cronin, and Lindsey Cronin; and dear friend, Brad Jones.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruth Cronin; and sisters, Mildred Williams, DeeDee Cronin, and Theresa Cronin.

A cremation will be held.
