Billy Carl Davis,Sr., age 72 of Bald Knob, died Friday, July 24, 2009. He was born April 20, 1937 in Judsonia, AR. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Jane Wilson Davis; one son, Billy Carl Davis, Jr. of Bald Knob; two daughters, Sylvia Cleveland and Mike of Searcy, Christy Cloyes and Anthony of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Seth Cleveland of Searcy and Hannah Cloyes of Bald Knob, Shea Cleveland of Nashville, Tennessee, Matt Cleveland and Kim of Little Rock, Will Cleveland and Amber Quick of Brooklyn, New York; Two great grandchildren, Allison and Dylan Cleveland of Little Rock; one brother, Thomas H. Davis of Bald Knob; six sisters, Betty Mayfield of Russell, Norma Mihelic of Bald Knob, Ruby York of Mountain Home, Idaho, Ann Carpenter of Bald Knob, Paula Bennett of Judsonia and Kay Morrison of Bald Knob; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; W.H. (Pete) and Pauline Davis, three brothers; Duane Davis, David Davis, and Wallace Davis, Jr. He was an Air Force veteran and retired pipeline heavy equipment operator and inspector. He was a member of Fredonia Lodge #229 in Bald Knob for 47 years. Past Master of Fredonia Lodge ,Past High Priest - Bald Knob Royal Arch Chapter #107, Past Thrice Illustrious Master Zion Council #50 in Bald Knob, Past Commander - Hickmon Commander #37, Bald Knob. Recipient of the "Pillars of Solomon" award for years of dedicated service to his lodge. Recipient of the Order of the Sword and Trowel. Recipient of York Rite Masonry's highest honor - The Knights of the York Cross of Honor.
