Barbara Wright Claytor Hester

Barbara (Wright) Claytor Hester, departed this life on December 21, 2025 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born October 5, 1941 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Gertrude Wright. Barbara is survived by her son, Mike (Becky) Claytor, her daughter, Debbie (Michael) Pickens, her grandchildren, Whitney (Chris) Swindle, Heather (Zeke) Mealer, Jordan (Bethany) Claytor, Lauren Claytor, her great grandchildren, Garrett Swindle, Sophie Swindle, Bentley Claytor, Beau Claytor, and Zion Mealer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Bill Claytor, her later husband, Robert Hester, her brothers, Dewey Wright and Leon Wright, and her sisters, Doris Haney and Pauline Haney.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the aides, CNAs, nurses, and the entire staff at The Crossing in Searcy, where she resided since 2019. Special thanks are also given to Arkansas Hospice/Life Touch for their compassionate nurses and CNAs. Your care, kindness, and dedication during her final weeks meant more to our family than words can express.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery-Steward Addition in Bald Knob, Arkansas.
