Billy Evans Obituary

Billy J. Evans, 74, Cynthiana, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home. Born to the late, Mary Ruth Brumagen Evans and Willis Evans, he was a veteran of the United States Army 101 Airborne division, a retired farmer and employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot and a member of Indian Creek Christian Church and Millersburg American Legion. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willis Evans, Jr.; a sister, Anna Belle Burke and a sister-in-law, Brenda Evans. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Goldena W. Buckler Evans; three daughters, Cheryl Rayner, Dale City, Virginia, Donna Kaye Evans, Bourbon County and Karen Jo Evans, Carlisle; four brothers, Thomas (Edith) Evans, Paris, Earl Evans, Millersburg, John (Teresa) Evans, Bourbon County and Wayne (Faye) Evans, Harrison County; six grandchildren, Zachary (Hannah) Gross, Evan Gross, Adam Evans, Jordan Evans, Danielle Rayner and Marcus Rayner and five great grandchildren, Shelby Gross, Dakota Evans, Taylor Gross, Will Gross and Brooklyn Rayner. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home by Minister Chad Broaddus. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Piqua Cemetery in Mt. Olivet. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Hospice of the Bluegrass. Pallbearers will be Zach Gross, Evan Gross, Chris Wiley, Adam Evans, Jordan Evans and George Clifton.
