Billy Wayne Fleeman

September 9, 1954 – July 26, 2025

Billy Wayne Fleeman, aged 70, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital in Trenton, Michigan. He was born on September 9, 1954, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to the late Luther and Pearl (Kennedy) Fleeman.

Billy dedicated over thirty years of his life, first working for McLouth Steel as a Crane Operator and then for U.S. Steel as an Electrician, where he was respected for his commitment and strong work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Billy was an avid outdoorsman. He cherished his time hunting turkey and deer, fishing, and attending tractor and steam engine shows. His love for his 1986 Chevy S-10 hotrod reflected his enthusiasm for classic automobiles. A talented musician, Billy enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo and was known for his vibrant and engaging conversations. Above all, family was the cornerstone of his life, and helping his children brought him immense joy.

Billy was a devoted member of the 1st Christian Baptist Church in Newport, Michigan, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Donna Fleeman; two beloved daughters, Tana (William) Wurm and Anna Fleeman; his cherished grandson, Hunter Hickman, and a sister, Brenda Dolan. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Pearl Fleeman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home, located at 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161. A Celebration of Life service will take place on August 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Anson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.

Billy Wayne Fleeman will be remembered fondly as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose legacy of love and laughter will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
