Billy Lee "Bill" Harrison, 85, of Wellington, died Monday, September 30, 2024 at his home under Hospice care. On July 18, 1939, Bill was born in Huddy, KY to the late Amos L. and Eloise (nee Runyon) Harrison.
He worked for US Steel for 40 years and he also worked for Wellington Implement for a short time. Bill was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Wellington.
A hard worker, Bill valued a strong work ethic. He liked fishing, hunting and classic cars. Bill took pride in his yard, and enjoyed working outside, and he always looked forward to attending the Lorain County Fair. Most of all he cherished time spent with his family.
He is survived by his loving children, David (Cynthia) Harrison, of Elyria and Melodie Esterly, of Wellington; grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Norton, Ashley (Steve) Vannoy, Emilee Esterly, Russell Esterly, and Anna Esterly; and great grandchildren, Connor, Maddison, Lilly, Bailey and Charlie.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Carol Harrison; son-in-law, David Esterly and sister, Bonnie Witbeck.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Pittsfield Township Hall, 16940 State Route 58. Norton-Eastman Funeral Home was honored to assist the family and condolences can be given at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
