Louis Scott Harrison, age 57, passed away on January 21, 2026, in Mesquite, Texas. He was born on August 17, 1968, in Dallas, Texas to parents Louis and Juanita (Stovall) Robison.

Louis was a man of many talents, with a deep appreciation for working with his hands. His career saw him dabbling in various fields including plumbing, welding, roofing, and construction. He took great pride in the jobs he tackled, always fascinated by the process of building and creating. Louis was a skilled craftsman and a kind-hearted friend.

Louis had a joyful spirit that shone through in his love for music. He often reminisced about his school days, expressing that the highlights were playing in the band and, of course, lunch. He was an enthusiastic musician, mastering instruments such as drums, tuba, and trombone.

Growing up, Louis cherished the memories of childhood adventures, particularly those spent riding bicycles around the neighborhood. He and both of his sisters would pack sack lunches for what they affectionately called the “Mercury trip,” taking them along Mercury Road on their five-mile trek. When rain brought the chance to catch crawdads, the kids with bacon and bologna in hand made the most of every downpour, reminding everyone of the simple joys in life.

A devoted Christian, Louis found happiness in sharing the Gospels with everyone he met. His faith deeply influenced his friendly demeanor; he was known for his kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his thoughts honestly. Louis's personality drew many friends to him, and those friends formed a community that celebrated his unwavering support and friendship.

Among his proudest accomplishments was his volunteer work with the Red Cross, where he seized the opportunity to genuinely help others. His contributions there not only made a difference in the lives of many but also allowed him to forge meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals.

In his downtime, Louis was a man who loved the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, camping, and drawing.

Louis is preceded in death by his father, Louis Harrison; mother, Juanita Robison and step-father, Dayton Robison; and sister, Cynthia Allen.

Louis is survived by his sister, Laura Key and husband Michael of Mabank, Texas; sister, Kimberly Brown of Athens, Texas; cousin, Michael Tramel of Mabank, Texas; special friend, Lana Johnson and husband Joel of Marshall, Texas; special friend and mentor, Jim Pond of Amarillo, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends, and loved ones.
