BILLY JOE HASTY

BILLY JOE HASTY, age 88, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life at his residence with his loving family at his side following an extended illness on Monday, January 12, 2026. Mr. Hasty was born in Lynchburg, Tenn., to the late Willard Hasty and Annie Lou Wiseman Hasty on December 5, 1937. Mr. Hasty was a member of the Cowan Nazarene Church. He was employed for approximately 37 years at A.E.D.C. in Tullahoma as a Security Officer until his retirement. He previously was employed by the Winchester Police Department as an Officer. Mr. Hasty was also a farmer on his farm in the Liberty community in Winchester for several years. He was actively involved in the advancement of the Franklin County Ambulance Service when it was first established. He served as County Commissioner for the 7th and 8th Districts of Franklin County at different times. Mr. Hasty was an avid U.T. football fan and also a fan of Nascar. Mr. Hasty will be remembered for his love of life, fun and good food.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hasty was preceded in death by his sister, Nelda Partin and son, Dennis Hasty.

He is survived by wife, Edith Hasty of Estill Springs, children; Jill Hasty Gipson, Paula Crosslin both of Winchester, Billy Hasty and wife Christy of Tullahoma, John Brents of Estill Springs, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Bobby Hasty of Winchester and Doris Farris of Huntland.

Visitation for Mr. Hasty will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor John Barker and Bro. John Butler, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Watson Memorial Park in Winchester, Tenn.
