Graveside services for Mr. Billy Hawthorne, 84, of Henderson, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 2024 at Zion Hill Cemetery with Bro. Michael Cary officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford - A. Crim Funeral Home of Henderson. Family will receive friends before the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Hawthorne passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born Feb. 12, 1940 in Rusk County to the late Roscoe Hawthorne, Sr. and Burtie Lee (Duncan) Hawthorne. He was a farm hand and a rodeo rider for eleven years. He was also a member of the US Army, entering the service in 1973.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Roscoe "Blackie" Hawthorne, Jr., and sister Pauline "Polly" Hanus.
Survivors include: his brother Charles Hawthorne of Turnertown; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Rowe and husband Sean of Carthage, Melody Hawthorne of Alabama, and Michelle Cross of Turnertown; five great-nieces and nephews, and three great-great-nieces and nephews.

My cousin, Billy Floyd, was one of my best friends in my youth. He came and stayed with us and worked with dad. We had a lot of fun and often went fishing. He did love to fish. Rest In Peace Cuz.
