Billy Joe Hernandez, 45, of Presidio Texas, passed away on July 10, 2025 in Odessa Texas.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Sunday July 20, 2025 at Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory, 1040 S Dixie Blvd. Odessa, TX 79761
Rosary will be at 7 pm Monday July 21, 2025 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, Presidio Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 9 am Tuesday July 22, 2025 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church with Father Mike of Santa Teresa Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Loma Pelona. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
Billy Hernandez was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Hector Alvarado Hernandez and Maria Elena Urias on August 9,1979. He went to school in Presidio, Texas where he proudly represented the Blue Devils and number 34. After graduating high school he worked as a welder for 25 years. He was very proud of his job and worked hard to be one of the best welders in the area. Billy was a loving, giving, hardworking man that wanted nothing more than to be sure his family was taken care of. He deeply loved his grandchildren and enjoyed having them around. During his free time he enjoyed a nice cold beer and watched football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. His dream was to one day own an 18-wheeler and drive cross country with his family.
Billy Hernandez is preceded in death by Reynaldo Hernandez, Raquel Hernandez, Camilia H Baeza, Juan M Urias, Keisha Hernandez, Tomas Hernandez.
Billy Hernandez is survived by his children: Marisela Paredez, Neyriel Urias, Alexis Sanchez, Mia Sanchez. His siblings: Hector Hernandez Jr., Gabriel Hernandez and Cristina Hernandez. His parents: Hector Hernandez and Maria Elena Hernandez. Grandchildren: Tristen Paredez, Taeden Paredez, and Aviana Hernandez.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Hernandez Sr., Hector Hernandez Jr., Jered Paredez, Gabriel Hernandez Jr., Dominic Hernandez, Alexis Hernandez, Sean Hernandez, Christian Hernandez, and Hector Hernandez Sr.
Memorials may be given to Marisela Paredez.
