Billy Louis Himes

April 19, 1947 - September 24, 2025

Billy Louis Himes, Sr., 78, of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home.

Billy was born on April 19, 1947 in Hartford, Ky., a son to Elick and Kathryn Brandshaw Himes. He married Dorothy Aldridge on May 17, 1966. They later divorced.

Surviving are his two children, Sherry Ann (Annie) Raithel and Billy "B.J." (fiance Donna Cotton) Himes, Jr., both of Bloomington; grandson, Timothy (Chrystal) Raithel of Bloomington; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Raithel; and siblings, Rufus Ward, Lee Ward, James (Delores) Ward, Bruce (Wendy) Himes, Darlene McCoy, and David Gray.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Sheral Himes; and brother, Charlie Ward.

Billy was employed with Eureka Company and later Harms Apartments. He proudly served in the United States Army. Billy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
