Funeral services for Mr. Billy David Jackson will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2024, at Santee Methodist Church with the Reverend Seth Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Santee Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Jackson, age 69, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at his home in Bassfield. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family will receive friends Monday, 2 hours prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at the church.
Mr. Jackson will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Eddie Joe Jackson, Justin Burns, Justin Shivers, Joseph Fagan, Frankie Roncoli and Will Daley. Bob McRaney and Gary Jackson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Billy David Jackson was born in Jefferson Davis County on June 23, 1955, to Billy Joe and Annie Lou Norris Jackson. A lifelong resident of Jefferson Davis County, Mr. Jackson worked for many years as a carpenter and roofer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Jackson was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Annie Lou Jackson.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 44 years, Carol C. Jackson of Bassfield; 2 daughters, Kayla Coulter (Michael John) of Bassfield, Amy Bourn (Chase) of Prentiss; his son, Nathan Jackson (Tiffany) of Seminary and his brother, Michael S. Jackson (Tina) of Moss Point. The memory of their Pawpaw will also live on through his grandchildren, Alyssa Easley, Larissa Easley, Hunter Dyess, Jaylin Jackson, Brayden Bourn, Dylan Bourn, Luke Coulter, Mason Bourn and 4 great-grandchildren.
