Joan Dorothy Bore, 92, of Gig Harbor, WA went to meet her Lord on January 7, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1933 in Hadleigh, Suffolk, England to Isaac Emery and Edith Rose Bore. She married Bernard Kent Jackson on February 4, 1956 in Ipswich, England. Survived by children James Lee Jackson, Julie Annette Jackson Greenup, Mark Steven Jackson (Phoebe), and Craig Joseph Jackson as well as her granddaughters Erin Jackson Reames (Tobias) and Casey A. Jackson, grandson Jonathan R. Jackson (Lauren), niece Karen Plumb Ditzler (David), and nephew John S. Plumb, and her cousin Elsie Wiles of Hadleigh Ipswich, England . Preceded in death by parents Isaac and Edith Bore, husband of 22 years Bernard Kent Jackson, son-in-law Steven R. Greenup, sister Rita R. Plumb, brother-in-law Edward W. Plumb, nephew David C. Plumb, and cousin Daisy Wiles of Hadleigh, Ipswich, England. Joan was an advent gardener, and loved to travel to Italy and Europe. She was also devoted to all her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends Tiffany Denney, Meg Shaltz, Annette Cheeves, Debbie McDaniels and the many volunteers over the years helping Craig. Her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ sustained her throughout her life and she will be remembered for her devotion to the care and rehabilitation of her son Craig Joseph. Special thanks to her granddaughter Erin Jackson Reames who was Joan's caregiver for five years as well as Mark Steven Jackson who has taken over Craig's care since 2019. Joan will be greatly missed by family and friends.
