Billy Dee Jennings, Jr.

Billy Dee Jennings Jr., aged 71, of Anniston, Alabama, passed away on September 25, 2025. Born on November 26, 1953, Billy leaves behind a legacy marked by warmth, resilience, and a deep love for his family and cooking. Billy was the heart of every gathering, known for his ability to tell a joke and his unmatched culinary skills, which brought joy to many. He was a man of great spirit and determination, often seen as a pillar of strength to those around him. His most cherished moments were spent with his family, especially his three grandsons, Samuel, Elijah, and Seth, who filled his life with pride and joy. Billy is survived by his loving wife, Vera Jennings; daughter Jessica Coby, her husband Matthew, and their children; brother Rodney Jennings, his wife Tammy, and their children Jennifer, Jacob, and Jesse; as well as his nephews Tony Barnwell, Ragan Jennings, Byron Jennings, and his niece Samantha Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Dee Jennings Sr. and Mildred Clark Jennings; his sister Kay Jennings Patton; and his brother Ted Jennings. Educationally, Billy attended Weaver primary school, followed by The Donoho School, and pursued some college education between Jacksonville State University and UAB, forming a broad base of knowledge that would inform many aspects of his personal and professional life. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held at this time. Billy's life was one of vibrant engagement and quiet moments of love, a life lived with passion and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
