Billy E. Jones, age 88, peacefully entered into eternal rest in his Heavenly Home on November 24, 2025. He loved the Lord and was ready to go home to be with Him.
Bill was a hard-working and dedicated man. He spent 27 years as a Madison Heights (Michigan) Firefighter/EMT achieving the rank of Sergeant and was highly decorated during his exemplary career. After retiring, he returned to his Tennessee home in Mossy Grove. His love for hunting, fishing, and farming was something he shared with his son and grandsons leaving a mark on them that will never fade. He especially loved spending time with his great-grandkids and his cat “Whitey”. He was a long-term member of Mossy Grove Baptist Church and had passion for mission work. He left a lasting impact on anyone who knew him. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
Waiting to join him one day in Heaven is his wife Judy, of 67 years; his two children Darlene Blanchard (Jonathan) and Kenneth Jones (Cathy); his five grandchildren Sean Lamiman, Austin Lamiman (Cheltzie), Kelly Jones, George Jones, Daniel Jones (Madison); his five great-grandchildren Easton Lamiman, Cole Lamiman, Colson McKinney, Eleanor Jones, Abel Jones; brothers Ken Jones (Sue), Junior Jones, & Charles Jones as well as many friends and family members who will miss him dearly.
Welcoming him into heaven are his parents Hugh & Dalice Jones; Sisters Vera Morrison & Mary Lou Gustafson and Brother Ross Jones
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Schubert Funeral Home from 11:00-1:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery, 161 Jones Road, Harriman, TN 37748.
