Billy Franklin Kimbrell, 90, of Pine Bluff, was an avid golfer and volunteer baseball Little League Coach who loved his family very much.
He passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at home.
Billy was born on September 7, 1934, in Rison, the son of Curtis James Kimbrell and Mattie Irene Reaves Kimbrell.
He was reared and received his early education in Cleveland County.
Mr. Kimbrell worked at International Paper, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Greenlee Baptist Church.
Mr. Kimbrell's passion for golf lasted 50 years, even teaching his nieces, nephews and grandchildren the game he loved. He also showed his love for sports and teaching young people through his time as a Little League Baseball coach.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Frances Lindsay Kimbrell, whom he married October 22, 1955, in Pine Bluff, brothers James and Woody, and son-in-law, Chris Denton.
Survivors include his son, Billy James Kimbrell (Debbie) of Lamar, AR; daughter, Phyllis Kimbrell Denton of Pine Bluff, AR; four grandchildren; 19 bonus great-grandchildren! a special niece, Cathy White of Gladewater, TX; and a "bonus daughter", Holly Rogers Ellis of Pine Bluff.
A private memorial graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 25th, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Celebrant Marty Shell officiating by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
