Billy Fay King, a devoted mother and cherished member of the Philadelphia, Mississippi community, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born on February 7, 1979, in Jackson, Mississippi, she lived a life rich in love, friendship, and service.
Billy dedicated two decades of her life to the field of personal care, working with compassion and commitment at The Willows. Her genuine care for others touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of kindness and dedication. She was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her beloved sons, B.J. Savell II, of Philadelphia, MS, Thomas Ray Ellingburg, and his wife Abby, daughter; Katie Stephens, and her husband, Robert and her granddaughter, Charlotte Fay-Marie Ellingburg, whom Billy took immense pride in her role as a grandmother.
Billy is also survived by her sisters, Angel Refre and Kristi Clark and her husband, Kyley; her brothers Mike King and his wife, Linda, and Bryant King; numerous nieces and nephews, including Dan Refre; and her in-laws, Fay Savell and her husband, James.
Billy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Billy Ray and Fay King, and an infant child, a grief that she carried with a quiet strength and resilience throughout her life and also a uncle Danny Crossland.
The arrangements for Billy Fay King have been entrusted to McClain-Hays Funeral Service, where her life will be celebrated and her impact remembered. Her legacy will continue through those who loved her and the many lives she touched with her caring spirit.
