Mr. Billy Allen Lackey, 76, of 275 Moose Lodge Rd. died Saturday at his home.

Born in Iredell County on April 1, 1930, he was a son of the late Roby Francis Lackey and Ina Mae Gibson Lackey. He was a retired textile worker and farmer. He was a pilot and enjoyed cattle farming. He also served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Lee Lackey, James Russell Lackey and Anderson Lackey and two sisters, Mildred Marie Lackey and Margaret Louise Lackey Lundy.

Survivors include two brothers, Leroy Lackey and his wife, Evelyn of Taylorsville and Frank Lackey of the home and a sister, Mrs. Johnsie Moulton and her husband, Don of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Services celebrating Billy's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Revv. Mike Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary for one hour prior to the services. At other times the family will assemble at the residence at 275 Moose Club Rd. Statesville.
