Billy Fred LaGrone Sr., age 91, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Oroville, Butte County, California. He was born on July 14, 1934, in Marion, Perry County, Alabama.

Billy lived a long and full life, marked by his deep love for family and the legacy he built through generations. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Colleen LaGrone, who passed away on April 26, 2019.

He is survived by his six children: Steve LaGrone and his wife Linda, with their five children; Carol Michetti, whose three children blessed her with 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; Diana Marmorato, with her two children and one grandchild; James LaGrone and his wife Nicole, with their four children and five grandchildren; Billy LaGrone Jr. and his wife Heidi, with their four children and nine grandchildren; and Brenda Sallade and her husband Chad, with their four children and seven grandchildren.

He is also survived by children by love and marriage, Deborah and Bill Heath, and Suzanne and Mike Green, along with many additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were cherished members of his extended family. He was preceded in death by Kathryn and Jim Ray.

Billy's legacy lives on through his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in his life.

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
