Billy Lawrence Obituary
BILLY LAWRENCE - William Bart "Billy" Lawrence, Sr., age 85, of Caledonia, MS, passed away December 13, 2025, at Windsor Place. A visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Lawrence was born July 13, 1940, in Columbus, MS, to the late Ozzie James and Mildred Thompson Lawrence. He was a graduate of Caledonia High School and served in the United States Army. Mr. Lawrence worked for Southern Airways and Beneke Corporation. He served as mayor of Caledonia for two terms and was a member of Flint Hill Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Lawrence.
Survivors include his wife, Rissa Thomasson Lawrence of Caledonia, MS, son, William Bart Lawrence, Jr. of Columbus, MS, step daughter, Michelle Cox of Caledonia, MS, and grandson, James Loren Cox of Caledonia, MS.
