Billy Malcom Obituary
Born on November 22, 1932, in Crittenden County, Kentucky. Billy was the son of William Earl and Zula Alma Kirk Malcom. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, family, and faith – qualities that guided him throughout his long and meaningful life.
Billy retired from maintenance at General Electric. He took pride in his work and in the friendships he built along the way. Billy was a lifelong member of Fern Creek United Methodist Church and a member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge.
At home, Billy found joy in simple pleasures. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, often spending afternoons tending to his yard or creating something by hand.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary, and by his sisters, Edna Vaughn and Velda Bennett.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Harrod (Anthony) and Cathy Lynn Thomas (Elmer); Grandchildren, Whitney Morris, Amy Holden, Derek Thomas, and Crystal Androvett; 12 grandchildren; and his brother, Paul Malcom.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3–7 p.m.
