Billy McNeill Obituary
Pete was a native of Moore County. He began working at Standard Mineral at a very young age, later working at Carthage Fabric and Riley Paving Company. Pete enjoyed fishing, meeting people and sharing good conversation. He liked cars and was always ready just to "ride around' looking at the countryside. Pete loved his family and enjoyed anytime that was spent with them. He was a son of the late Herman and Jessie Mashburn McNeill.
Pete is survived by sisters: Betty Sue Jeffries, Flora Tucker, Helen Jeffries; brother: Johnnie McNeill; longtime companion: Judy Pope; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be 2 PM, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Glendon Christian Church Cemetery, with Reverend Zach Garner officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Helen.
