Billy Roy Morgan, 76, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2024. He was born on December 23, 1947, in Shreveport to Joe and Wilma Morgan.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. A graveside service honoring the life of Billy will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Road in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Rev. Scott Shirley, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church where Billy was a long time member.
Billy graduated from Fair Park High School in 1966. He joined the US Navy after graduation from 1966-1970 and served on the USS Constellation CVA-64 as an Aircraft Carrier off the Coast of Vietnam. After service, he worked at GE as a laser and clamp assembler until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Wilma Morgan, and brother-in-law, Scotty Franklin. Left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Joey Morgan and wife Gini; Wayne Morgan and wife Freddie, Rodney Morgan and wife Nina; and sister, Patsy Franklin.
Honoring Billy as pallbearers will be Zack Rogers, John Franklin, Rodney Morgan, Wayne Morgan, Tim Emfinger, and Joey Morgan.
